Sacred Spatial Medium: A Unique and Elegant Residential Flat Design

Residential Design Inspired by the Sacredness of Circles

The high-ceiling public space of Sacred Spatial Medium showcases the beauty and grandeur of the living room. Tawny glasses, circular iron pieces, and stone-patterned ceramic slabs are used to create a majestic atmosphere. The light fixture in the room also follows the principle of circles, with an open-style posture that adds to the overall circular design. Floor-length curtains, multi-layered ceiling cornices, and low chroma colors contribute to the elegant ambiance of the public space.

The dining room and kitchen, located on one side of the staircase, are designed with bronze mirrors on the ceiling surface. This material application extends the use of circles in the design. The white dining chairs with black rims complement the white staircase with a black handrail, while the black light fixture and iron piece structure maintain consistency in the spatial color tone and design.

The master bedroom, situated on the second floor, features a soft pale color tone. The headboard, adorned with purple and gold colors, creates a striking visual effect in combination with the circular chandelier. The oval rotatable mirror on the dressing table and the semi-circular chandelier above the dresser further enhance the concept of circles, presenting different forms of the same design principle.

Sacred Spatial Medium covers an area of 198 square meters and was completed in April 2019 in Taiwan. The design team, led by Yung-Chun Lin, carefully considered the use of colors, materials, and spatial arrangements to create a unique and elegant living space.

This exceptional design project has been recognized for its creativity and ingenuity. Sacred Spatial Medium was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category in 2020. This prestigious award acknowledges designs that demonstrate outstanding technical and creative skills, contributing to improvements in quality of life.
